The Association of Commercial Finance Attorneys’ Continuing Legal Education Weekend in West Virginia and the Rhode Island Bar Association Annual Meeting in Providence were the locales of partner Lisa Kresge’s latest substantive presentations to attorney colleagues.

At the ACFA CLEW at the Greenbrier Resort in May, Lisa spoke as a part of a three-personal panel with BSK colleague Tom Hemmendinger in a program entitled: “The Gotchas that Getcha: Selected Commercial Finance Issues.” Lisa and Tom’s panel covered issues related to the use of form documents and “boilerplate” provisions, discussing the intended and unintended consequences, as well as some suggested best practices to avoid the landmines. This is Lisa’s second time presenting at the CLEW, an annual gathering of commercial finance attorneys from across the country.

For the RI Bar Association Annual Meeting in June, Lisa was once again a part of a panel presenting a Commercial Law Update with Lisa discussing important Rhode Island commercial law decisions issued during the last 12 months. This is Lisa’s fifth time participating in the Bar Association’s Commercial Law Update panel.
